Absences

Attendance is crucial to your success in this course.   Making up work that you missed is your responsibility.  Assignments and notes can be found on my website.  Tests can be made up before or after school, or during Pirate Time.  Please see me to schedule a time for make-up tests.

Late Work

At a minimum, students will be able to turn in late assignments up to three days

after the due date. There will be a 10 point reduction per day the assignment is

late. After three days, no credit for the assignment may be given. If you are unable to complete your assignments for any reason, please contact me so that we discuss other arrangements.

Materials Needed

All Assignments will be completed in Canvas.

Students have access to a 1TB drive via google. Assignments and projects can be save in this drive to be accessed at any time.

Students are allowed to use a flash drive to save work if needed.

Computer Usage

During this course we will use the computers in the classroom for educational purposes only.  You are expected to only work on MSITA class assignments. If you abuse your privilege to use our school computers and have your privileges revoked, you still must complete the assignments without the use of technology.  It is important for students to understand the importance of abiding by the standards set for them.  The computers are here for our assistance in learning; not for games, AIM, Facebook, Twitter or personal email.  Actions by students that are against the school policies will result in disciplinary measures.  We will further discuss in class the expectations for proper computer usage in this course.  Computer usage is a privilege.  If you abuse it, you lose it!

Bathroom and Tardy Policy

TARDY Policy: If you are in the room before the Tardy bell rings you are not late. If you are in the hall when the tardy bell rings you are tardy

The classroom teacher will keep track of all tardies. Offense #1 = name written in a log and a warning issued. Offense #2 = Tardy recorded and parent contact will be made. Offense #3 = Tardy recorded and Lunch Detention assigned by Mr. Perry. Offense #4 =Tardy Recorded and written referral.

BATHROOM Policy:  Please try to meet this need before class. There will no restroom usage during the first or last 10 minutes of the class period. Once that time passes you may use the restroom in our designated class location based on our bathroom pass color. (Each restroom location will have a colored center block above the water fountain. This colored block and the bathroom pass in class should match. If the area is out of service return to your teacher for a pass before venturing to another restroom location. Please limit bathroom usage to emergencies.)

Classroom Expectations:

Participation:  Part of your success is determined by your attitude and the degree of effort and involvement you put towards        learning and completing assignments in class.

Cell phones must be turned off and put away during instruction. Headphones or any other electronic devices are not to be used in the classroom at any time during instruction.  If these items are being used or seen on the desk, plugged into the computer, etc., I will ask you to put them away.  If you do you not follow this directive, parent contact and or a discipline referral will be implemented.

Food and drinks are not to be brought in the room.  Please put them away before entering the classroom.

In this business class, students are expected to behave in a businesslike manner—-hats removed indoors, proper English, low voices, on task and absolutely NO PROFANITY.

Integrity:  Copying someone else’s work is not the path to success.  All work that you do for this class is expected to be your own     and academic dishonesty (including, but not limited to plagiarism on papers, cheating on tests/exams) will not be tolerated.

Follow all rules found in the Student Handbook.
